Friday 3rd May – Bike ** Two rivers – Orwell to Deben – cloudy and cold:(.

Despite the cloudy cool weather, I decided to have a quick spin on the bike after going shopping. Leaving home at 3.15 I headed down to the prom and soon discovered that I should have put my gloves and woolly hat as it was very nippy especially for May! I ended up at Landguard the highlight being a glimpse of a wheatear. Again, no coal on the beach so I continued to the viewing point as a large dredger was at work at the dock. As I was now pretty cold, I nearly chickened out and went home but I manned up and carried on all the way to Felixstowe Ferry for a few cloudy pics. After a few spots of rain, I headed for home as quick as possible, not one of my best bike’s rides. Tomorrow is still looking good for a windsurf on the Stour all be it still cold!
